Hey GUYS.. so im here to support an idea of mine and to get some feedback from the community.

I was wanting to have ranks just for BMD and the 3 leads in crime, the reason for these ranks would not only be for permission related concerns such as the Dark Web when that becomes a thing in the future, or /advert for openings if they decided they wanted to. Theres a lot of potential when it comes to permissions but outside of that it would be used as Identifiers, obviously dont take the tag icly but you would know the difference between an everyday criminal and Underground Dealers or the Crime Directors. It would also open up opportunity to creating a hierarchy for BMD as they are not actually all that different from a gang besides the bonus of selling weapons and shit.

Edit: i know metagaming would be an issue but thats the same for any faction to be honest, all they'd have to do is report it or take care of it themselves as staff just like any other faction would. The point in even having ranks would be the same as any other faction too, permissions and ooc validation, sure they're "supposed" to be secretive but at the end of the day a player cant take an ooc tag in character and if the CMD who has a rank decides to be secretive then that's his or her choice, same goes for if they decide not to be secretive and actively attacking PD or whatever! On top of that there will likely be a hierarchy as im thinking of talking to the Black Market Dealer about making BMD both a gang and crime org. things in crime are way different then SFRP or SRP. 

Basically what im saying is that their anonymity shouldn't reflect off their rank, the rank is ooc info for all factions and so if someone does metagame it, it'll be dealt with accordingly. I highly doubt there will be lots of issues with this either considering its a known rule for all factions with a roster. Outside of that it's honestly necessary for permissions and overall just ooc confirmation incase a player wanted to ask a dealer a question oocly but didnt actually know any and none were open, or if they wanted to buy a weapon from a dealer that isnt open. Literally any and every reason i NEED RANKS

-1 I'd say yes but the problem is a lot of people know they will just metagame it and it'll turn into a whole thing. As a staff member myself I know I wouldn't want to deal with this constantly. I also know other staff members wouldn't want to deal with it. But that's just my opinion. PLUS BMD is supposed to be secretive and if the roles are there people will meta it really much. It's supposed to make people guess.

Sorry, but I can't agree with this. I think it introduces far too many problems down the line if we move forward with it. As has already been pointed out, people are very likely to metagame everything, whether intentionally or not, and that's going to undermine the purpose of it from the start. Because of that alone, I'm inclined to disagree with the proposal. Even if you completely set metagaming aside, I still think there are a number of issues with it, it creates unnecessary complications, leaves too much room for inconsistency, and is likely to cause targeting and disputes over interpretation of the rules. In the long run, I think it would create more problems than it solves, so i dont think this is something I can support

-1. Metagame. Even if you don't want to believe it. Having the tag, someone has perms. Metagame will happen. It's a cool idea, until you realize what could happen behind the idea.
